Whippa Snappa Insect Repellent Dog Bandana is a unique product infused with natural insect repellent. Whippa Snappa insect repellent (IR3535 ) is considered safe by the World Health Organisation and is one of the safest insect-repelling substances on the market. It does not kill or harm insects. The active substance is even considered safe for use in children.
Whippa Snappa products offer constant protection when your dog is wearing them. The greater the coverage, the greater the protection. The bandanas primarily protect the head, neck, and chest, where ticks and fleas attach to your pet. Generally, the smaller the dog, the more coverage one item can provide.
The risks of your dog getting bitten depend on the area you live in and their exposure to insects. No repellent product is ever 100% effective, and if desired, these bandanas are safe to be used in conjunction with oral and topical flea and tick treatments for extra protection.
It is fragrance-free and can be worn without bothering sensitive noses, like those of dogs. This is useful for tracking or mantrailing, ensuring that they are not distracted by unpleasant scents.
We recommend our products for puppies over the age of 10 weeks. Before this, the risk of exposure to fleas and ticks is low.

Storage & Care
If your dog gets wet while wearing Whippa Snappa products, there’s no need to worry. They remain effective even when exposed to water. Allow the product to air dry naturally, and it will continue to protect against fleas and ticks once dry.
Whippa Snappa bandanas are machine washable and permanently embedded with insect repellent, so there is no need to reapply. Jumping in a puddle doesn’t count as a wash! It only counts as a wash when detergent is used.
Bandanas can be washed up to 80 times before losing the insect-repellent effect, and even after the repellent effect is gone the bandana can still be used. Use the product within 5 years, and store away from UV light sources when not in use.
Size
Measure loosely around the widest part of your dog’s neck, on top of the fur. The fabric should sit comfortably on top of your dog’s fur and/or collar. The bandanas have a bit of stretch to them, so will fit a range of neck sizes and go over a dog’s head easily.
If your dog doesn’t like anything tight-fitting or has a lot of fur, we recommend sizing up. If in between sizes choose a larger size for more comfort.
