Discover the benefits of Western herbal medicine and acupuncture for pets, and how they can help improve health and well-being and alleviate the symptoms of chronic and acute conditions. Shelley will also touch on the use of titre testing as a way to avoid vaccinations if they are not needed.

About your speaker
Shelley Doxey BVetMed (Hons), BSc, MSc, MRCVS. has been practicing conventional veterinary medicine since graduating from The Royal Veterinary College in 2002. Her job often involves seeing animals in pain and discomfort, and she has developed a keen interest in the management of pain in animals, particularly chronic debilitating conditions such as osteoarthritis and care of geriatric animals.
Due to these positive experiences in treating animals with her acupuncture, hydrotherapy and therapeutic exercise programmes, Shelley has recently developed a keen interest in alternative medicines using herbal remedies and is a committee member of the British Association of Veterinary Herbalists. Shelley has undertaken further training in the use of Western Herbal Medicine and is the second veterinarian in the UK to have attained a postgraduate diploma in its use. Shelley works out of Foxcotte Vets in Andover.
