We are thrilled and honoured that the lovely people at Purrs in our Heart accepted our invitation to join us in store on Sunday 28th July between 11am and 3pm to talk about and demo their brilliant products to cat caregivers in the region.

Play explores all parts of the predatory sequence: search, stalk, chase, pounce, catch and manipulate. Further research is required to establish whether or not the order and completeness of the sequence is important.
It can be observed, however, that some games and toys can cause frustration if the pounce and catch parts of the sequence are absent – such as with laser pointers. It is advisable, until proven otherwise, to follow the sequence and mimic the natural circumstances as closely as possible. Play in short bursts of activity before feeding times and end the game on a positive note when the cat catches the toy (ideally removing the laser pointer completely and switching to a wand toy to finish the game).
